Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll accounting, client invoicing, and statutory compliance. The role will work closely with HR and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial statements.
• Manage payroll accounting, including salaries, deductions, taxes, social security, and employee-related payments.
• Prepare and issue client invoices and monitor accounts receivable and outstanding payments.
• Reconcile payroll, client billing, bank accounts, and other financial records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Iraqi tax, social security, labor, and accounting requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure proper approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management when required.
• Identify discrepancies, improve accounting processes, and maintain strong internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within HR, manpower outsourcing, payroll, or service-based companies.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, taxation, social security, and client billing.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Good command of English and Arabic
